I cant reset my Veritas 8R after power cut - flat battery?
After recent powercut cant reset the control panel - previous answer suggested flat battery. If I enter the control box to look at the battery for replacement will it set the alarm off again? Or do you know what battery is required so that I only need to open the box with a replacement in hand? The control panel shows red steady lights on zones 1&2 with zone 4 showing a flashing red light, tamper light showing steady red light and the unset light is showing steady green.
hi pete,power down the panel, mains, open panel and disconnect the battery. Restore power. All the indicator lights will illuminate for four seconds. Press RESET before the indicator lights turn off. The factory settings have now been re-loaded. Engineer code 1234, User code 4321.
