Mend Dvd Player Open

How do I get my DVD player to play in color again?

My DVD player used to play in color when I 1st got it. But then a CD got stuck in the player and we had to open it and take it out. Now when we use the player it plays everything in black and white on all TVs.

Make sure you are going via RGB scart...also ensure the scart connections are connected firmly, in the right sockets, clean and free from dust. Also if you are watching an NTSC picture (region 1 discs etc), fed to a non NTSC TV, then pictures will be black and white. If this proves to be the case, some DVD players allow you to output a seudo NTSC style output (go into picture setup menu and try the PAL 60R setting).
