Have noticed over last few weeks that what looks like silicone grease is sometimes deposited on a garment after rinse/spin cycle (clothes not soiled initially.) Also noticed that spin cycle sounds 'rough'. Has a seal gone? Can't access drum - no back hatch and view when top removed doesn't reveal anything. Unit 4 years old.
Does sound like a seal problem. Machine is probably a 50/50 configuration - splits down the middle of each side panel. Fixing screws probably covered with rubber or plastic caps. Probably needs both seal and bearings changed. Would suggest a readup first. check out www.2ndwave.co.uk/manual.html
