Mend Hotpoint WM63 Drum Noise Loose

Lose Drum in Hotpoint Aquarius?

Hi,

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius washing machine (WM63) about 7 years old. The silver drum inside the washing machine has become lose and moves around. When the machine is turned on it makes loud noises. It this easily fixable?

Agree with previous answer from 'Panic'. If you haven't sorted it yet, then, unless you're competent and have a good range of tools, then don't attempt the bearing replacement. Hotpoint can sell you the kit, but both the bearing and the drum support (the so-called 'spider' at the back of the drum) replacement involve a fair bit of dismantling. I know.....I've done both! Either call an engineer out or buy a reconditioned machine.
