Mend Hotpoint WM20 Aquarius Making Noises

Hotpoint Aquarius WM20 1000spin?

My machine was making funny noises like something was caught in the pump impeller.I have stripped it down(Pump,Tubing,Filter,Outlet) there is nothing in there.I reloaded machine and now it will fill and empty, but the timer goes at a faster rate around the dial (just stopping to fill and empty) and the drum will not move.

I have now had a serious look at machine. Found that brushes were destroyed and the noise were chunks being ripped out of the armature. The machine is a write-off as the motor originally installed is no longer available 904/1153/115 or can be fixed with a new type of motor and wiring modifications which is expensive £90+

A new machine is probably the cheaper option in the long term.
