FORD ESCORT REAR HEATED SCREEN?

the rear heated screen on my r reg escort is not working, switch is not illuminating. front heated screen works ok

Ford Ford Escort Vehicles, Cars Working Switch Front

Switch is broken, you can pick up areplacement for about a fiver on ebay, they just pop out of the front of the dash, and unclip. really easy fix.

sounds strange but pull plugs out of alarm module and refit them it will now work,behind drivers side footwell sidepanel

check the fuse in the fuse box as each screen should be separately fused check timer/relay to the faulty heater.test heater element for continuity
