how can i fix my ford galaxy brake light switch?

my brake lights keep failing on my ford galaxy 1.9 tdi someone says it is brake light switch how do i fix this?

The brake light switch sits above the brake pedal, and is a spring loaded switch that is released when you press the pedal. I had the same problem, and fixed it by spraying a bit of WD40 on the switch, and operating it repeatedly until it was nice and free - no problem ever since
