hi andrew, i had the same problem with my speed fight model as well. get some wd40 spray the ht lead what goes onto the plug and inside the ht lead plug end also spray battery terminals with wd 40 try this it should be fine after this. its the damp and rain also cover the bike up if possible and keep spraying every week whilst cold and wet weather is hear
