hotppoint washing machine problem?

Where is the thermal overload switch on the motor of hotpoint aquarious 1100 ...model wm63n.The problem is drum won't turn.Have fitted new carbon brushes and the belt is ok but drum still won't turn.How do i check overload switch to see if it has tripped?.

spin the motor ,or apply power will it run ,yes/no doing this will narrow the fault down to one or the other
