Mend Cord Need Help

The bathroom pull cord has broken. Pls need help to reattach?

Opened the ceiling box up. All I can see is a small hole, where the cord hung down from. Opened up other bits of the unit (while the whole light circuit switched off). Still not really clear how the cord should be re-attached. I'd really appreciate any ideas

D.I.Y, Lighting Cord Need Help

Martin,
I would replace the complete light switch , as they only cost about £2 from electrical wholesalers, if you can match the switch you can probably get away with replacing the switch & not the base .
