i am having trouble with brakes on my 18 si mk5 ford escort i changed discs pads and callipers had the system bled but when the pedal is pressed it goes hard and dont stop properly

sounds like your brake servo is not working,to check-with engine off,pump brake pedal several times to relieve vacuum, then whilst keeping pedal pressed ,start engine,you should feel brake pedal travel further down, if not then your servo is not working.you can check vacuum by removing plastic pipe from servo[push fit in grommet] start engine and check for suction on pipe.
