My Panasonic Tau CT-36HL42 won't turn on?

My Panasonic Tau CT-36HL42 will start up, but when the picture tube usually kicks on, the TV will click, then shut down. I try to turn it on again, but power button won't do anything until I unplug teh TV, then plug it back in. At that point, the TV will start up, then kick off again. Help!
