Mend Dyson Vacuum Dust

How can I fix my Dyson DC 01 Vacuum?

When I turn the machine off it deposits dust on the floor as if it cant quite get ythre last bit away...the filters are new and the drum and pipes are clean

Lay the machine on its back and undo the 3 screws that cover the sweeper brushes. You'll find some dirt there which has backed up...cleaning it away will probably sort things, but I use a compressed air line to really do the job properly.
