Mend Creda Concept Oven Repair Electric Cooker

How can I repair the fan on a Creda Concept oven ?

The fan cuts out or will not start without a gentle push.
The element heats up o.k.
I have tried WD40 but cannot access the fan spindle well enough for it to be effective for long.
Model is Creda Concept about ten years old.

Use your common sense.

1) DONT spray it with WD40. Its an OVEN.
2) Buy a NEW Fan, and fit it.

The problem is not being solved and only momentarily. There could be at least two factors here i can think of which could be your problem. Firstly the bearing which the spindle runs through has worn allowing the spindle to drop a fraction which would then drag and slow or even stop and then go again. Or it could even be brushes worn in the motor. However if this persists you will finally end up losing the motor totally as any resistance on the spindle(Shaft) would cause the motor to bind, then overheat and burn out. Being that the oven is around 10 years old i would suspect that the motor may need replacing. I am not familiar with this type of motor but i don't think you can repair it as it is a sealed unit.
