Hi Joe,
Just looked at the previous reply which stated C16 (2200uf 10v) faulty. I believe that person is refering to capacitor C16 which will most likely be on the power supply. It will be a cylindrical can type component with black or blue or green plastic sleeve and on the circuit board it will be marked C16. This means opening up the receiver so make sure it is DISCONNECTED from the mains. Then look for capacitor C16, when you find it if the top looks like its bulging then it has most likely failed. You can replace it even if it looks ok to see if it fixes the problem. Maplins should stock a suitable replacement and you want one which is rated 2200uf 10v (the shop staff should know what you are talking about). Once you have a new capacitor you then need to solder it in making sure the -ve (negative) lead goes to the marked holde (make a note of how the existing parts fits in). Fingers crossed it will fix it.
However, if you have no luck then I'll make you an offer for the receiver - I have a working AD2000IP if you are interested. markiex@hotmail.com
