I cleaned the gunk out from under the main filter but the lower arm still keeps falling off. I see spare arms are available, would it be a good idea to change the nozzle it fits on at the same time?

Take out two screws to rear and carefully pull it up & out. It's in several bits but all held in by plastic tabs.
