Mend Briggs & Stratton Problem Shaft Engine

oil problem?

oil is being pump out of the breather port. this is on 8 hp. vertical shaft engine

Either the oil level is too high (keep it exactly to the dipstick marks) or you have quite a bit of crankcase pressurisation due to gas being blown by the piston, forcing the oil out.
