gilera dna 125 brake pads?

well i have bought the right brake pads, But to get the caliper of, i need to take the right foot peg, exhaust, exhaust bracket, right hand suspension and the rear wheel!

but ive only made it to the exhaust bracket, ive took the large nut off the main back wheel bolt and ive undone the 2 exhaust bracket bolts and right hand rear suspension spring!

i am told the bracket should just slide off now, but its not!! arhhh! help!

need to change these pads coz im touching metal! lol

can anybody advise how to change the tyre, firstly how to get the back wheel off

you dont need to take off the rear wheel to get the brake pads out. you need to take pin out so brake pads are loose then you should be able to get one brake pad out by using a screw driver. undo the caliper so its off, then you shoudl be able to get the other one off by wiggling it about. then make sure the pistons inside the caliper are right in otherwise it wont work, put one brake pad in, put it back in place then slide the other brake pad in (may take a while cos its fiddly.

i have changed my brake pads in the rear of my dna many times and i have never taken off any thing other than the caliper

you can change pads without removing wheel .undo the disc mounting bolts slide disc to the side it will allow you to remove caliper .then remove pads. its a bit tricky sliding disk back into caliper.but a lot easier then removing exhaust ect
