Mend Accenta 8 Security System Home Alarm Battery

Why does my Accenta 8 alarm activate when unset?

With the alarm unset, the key pad starts to sound and if you do not enter the reset code alarm activates. Within a couple of minutes of resetting, alarm starts to beep and you have to repeat the whole process. Last time reset at 20:00hrs alam started to activate at 02:00hrs. Could this be related to the back up battery?
