Mend Ford Focus 1.8 Engine

cam belt change?

have a 2000 ford focus 1.8 zetec its done 71000 miles ive beem told its ready for a cambelt change,but then someone else told me its got a cam chain and will be ok till 100000 miles! can anyone advise me thanks DO.

you should infact have a belt, and on the zetec its replacement due time s 100,000 miles or 10years, but to confirm totally ring your local ford dealer and ask of you have a belt or chain, thay will tell you.
