how can i get my bonnet to lock?renault clioyear 2000?

Renault have had many problems with this model Clio, with the bonnet suddenly opening and flying back.....its due to grit and debris interfering with the bonnet catch and the solution is to thoroughly clean the catch, get rid of all of the grit and lightly lubricate it.
