Hi Vickie,

I'm assuming that you've tried and tested the fuse in the plug.

On this assumption, it's probable that the internal fuse has blown. Switch off the microwave and unplug it. Then leave it standing for at least 30 minutes to discharge the capaicitors (although, if the fuse has blown these will already have discharged - but better to be safe than frazzled!).

Then, remove the cover. There are 4 screws on the back along the edge of the top colver and two screws on the side nearest the controls. Once the cover is off you will see a small connection unit on the top of the microwave - this is where the mains wires are connected - so just follow them in from where they enter the microwave.

On this unit you will see a small fuse (about half the size of a standard plug fuse and will probably have a blue band around it). Take this fuse out and test it (multi-meter or simple bul & battery test). The chances are it'll have blown.

This is a 6.3A fuse which you can get from your local electrical store - take the old one with you and show it to the person behind the counter and they will sort you out.

Of course, it would be nice to know WHY it blew in the first place - as this may be a sign of some other problem. But it's also possible that it was caused by a simple power surge.

Keep an eye on it after changing the fuse. If it blows againn, take it to an electrical repair shop (or bin it and buy another one - probably cheaper!)

Good luck - and have a good Christmas
