when i release the ignitor button to turn it to the on position the pilot goes out? (right at the last point before i can turn the switch) replaced the thermo coup, pressure is fine, blew/sucked the pressure tubes, even boiled the ignitor jet as recommended by an engineer in HRPC, all with no joy?? anyone got any ideas?????
think i found the item you described, was unsure how to check to see if it was faulty though? however, give the two silver connectors a rub with a bit of wire wool and it fired up 1st time! been running now for about 5 hours so may have resolved it, so, Thank you very very much for your help and advise. (oh and my wife thanks you for her 1st HOT shower in 3 days ha ha) thanks once again.

you need to check the overheat stat and make sure that is not faulty
