How do I fix the inside hollow rubber soled boots?

I bought a pair of leather boots with large rubber soles that appeared to be solid until I noticed one day that they were becoming more and more uncomfortable to wear. I examined them and found that the interior honeycomb structure had broken down so it doesn't support my weight anymore. Is there a way I can fix it? These are beautiful, comfortable shoes that will be hard to replace.

You could try filling the honeycomb with a good quality silicone sealant. I've done this on minor sole holes with success, but you have to give it plenty of time to dry, I'd say at least 48 hours.

Also, if the holes are very big, fill them with sealant in stages, rather than all at once, and give plenty of time to dry before doing the next stage.

Patience is required, but I know what it's like to love a pair of boots which need a bit of help!

take off the removable inside soil and use a glue gun to full up the holes after cut a cover from a plastic milk container and put it on top. once the job is dry you can put back the inner soil.
