Mend Accenta8 mini Security System Door

Accenta8 mini problem?

When I enter my code to set the alarm as I leave the house the tone has changed from the normal dual tone to a single beep. The alarm seems to set but when the front door is opened it does not trigger the beep to indicate that the door has opened. Any suggestions?
