How can I fix qualcast hedge trimmer?

Hedgemaster 380 works intermittently. Brushes not worn. Commutator ok. Works when held vertically stops when lowered to horizontal

Check cable, hold so that it runs, and move the cable, as if you had moved the unit. But keep unit still, if it cuts out, damaged cable, the bad section would need to be cut out, and them reattached inside, If not cable, possibly a contact inside
