The motor control has stopped working. On inspection there is a large capacitor, 0.047uF and anothor device that have burnt out.
the other device could be a resistor?
The capaicor had blown apart, but could stil be identified.
the resistor? is charred and fragile.
Any ideas what it is?
thanks
The 2 capacitors are 0.047uF and 0.15uF.
For resistor use 560R or 680R ½W. Good idea to replace the 220R resistor too with ½W

There are 3 components on the 901 motor control that typically fail. A 0.15mf mains capacitor, a 0.1mf mains capacitor and a 56 ohm resistor (at least 1W). I would replace all 3 because if one goes the others will soon after.

It seams that I have the same problem here in Iceland.with Kenwood Chef A901D.
The control doesnt work -and one can make it go round and round. They told me that it cant be fixed. It is possible that I have to buy the repair kit ? Any informations what I can do ?

I had the same problem on my A703C (Australian made Chef). Small burnt out thing was a 56ohm resistor...2 watt I think but I fitted a 5 watt. Caps are 0.15uf and 0.047uf and just today I found smoke coming from one of the caps which is split. We've had over 400mm of rain here in past fortnight so electrical things are failing! All parts were bought from a radio parts shop for under $A2. Good Luck.
