Mend Kenwood Chef Excel Started

My Kenwood Chef Excel has started running backwards?

I was banging out a loaf of bread last week and the first rise was all fine but when I came to knock down to transfer to the bread tin suddenly it was running backwards.

The gearbox has been a bit noisy and sometimes makes a cracking sound.

Which way is the main motor supposed to rotate? I want to rule that out before I disassemble the gearbox. Cheers.
