I got the silver part of a floppy disk stuck in the A drive. I switched off my computer and took out the A drive to get out the part. Now when I put a disk into the A drive a message saying -:
The disk in the drive A is not formatted. Do you want to format it now? I say yes and it fails
Please help
are you sure you put the floppy ide cable back on the a drive the correct way round?.one side of the cable will have a red or pink stripe on it.it should be the opposite side of the harddrive cable.regards, WILLIAM

Replace your floppy disk drive. It got broken when you removed the jammed diskette from it. They are very cheap.
