Paint has bubbled a year later?

I have painted my living room a year ago when we moved in with an semi gloss latex red paint. It took 5 coats to get it even! Now I have noticed that in ONE corner of the room the paint is bubbling. It seems to me that a light that I had in that corner must have thrown off alot of heat (halogen) and caused this bubbling. Is there anyway I can get rid of the bubbles? I've removed the lamp. I've thought of piercing the bubbles, but am leary as I don't want to do 5 more coats in this LARGE room.

Paint usualy bubbles if the surface that you painted was freshly plastered and no sealer was applied to the plaster pva sealer or something similarshould be applied
.OR it could be dampness, damp under the paint surface turns to vapour streching the paint causing bubbles in the coating. CHECK FOR DAMP USING A DAMP METER OR LOOK FOR SIGNS OF MOULD IF SO DRY OUT WALL PAINT WITH A DAMP PROOFING LIQUID SEALER OR DAMP PROOF PAINT THEN EMULSION THIS SHOULD SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.
