vauxhall corsa automatic 1.2 1999 sport light flashin and speedometer not w?
I have a cauxhall corsa 1.2 automatic 1999 and my speedometer is not working and sports light flashing on dashboard all the time could someone please advise me on what the problem is ,took it to the makers and they would not help without booking it in to be repaired but this was going to cost me an arm and a leg please help
It could be your selector playing up.You can dismantle and clean this up quite easily yourself. You don't need any special tools. If you need any help email me on mym014m0515@blueyonder.co.uk and I can send you the instructions.

My wife has a 1.4 Auto and when the sport light flashes it means that you can't drive the car (are you having this problem?). Basically it needs to go on an engine diagnostic probably better to stay away from vauxhall as it will cost £40, I got it done by a local garage for £12 - We still get the problem occasionally (esp when wet).
With regards to the speedo have you checked the cable?
