Dewalt 18V XRP Cordless Drill?

My Dewalt 18V XRP Cordless Drill Started smoking/throwing sparks from the motor, Specifically where the one brush contacts the Shaft (Armature?). I replaced the brushes and that did not seem to help. Anyone have any advice? Should I now replace the Motor? Thanks

Hi, sounds like the motor is burned out or on its way out, you can buy a new motor for around £30.00 on the Dewalt spares web site.
It is easy to replace.
