Mend Hot Supply Tap

Airlock in hot water supply?

'how do you get rid of an airlock in the downstairs hot water supply? I have seen this done using a hose to force cold water back up the hot water tap. Is this all ther is to?

Yes, I have had to do this five times. I managed it by forcing cold water up the hot by using my hand on my kitchen mixer tap - though it was tough. Otherwise use the washing machine hoses, like the plumber did when I called him - and then I got wise!
