Mend Diplomat 12043 ADP8234 Programme Dishwasher Select

Programme not selecting?

My diplomat dishwasher has power to it but when I try and press the button to select the necessary programme nothing happens and it remains on P0. Also when I try and close the door it is not latching properly unless you slam the door. What is wrong with it?

I have a similar problem:

Model: 12043 ADP8234

The latch was broken on mine and I have just replaced it with a new one.

I have put it all back together reconnected the power and the program is stuck on P0?

There are a couple of electrical connections on the latch - if I replaced these the wrong way - would it cause this issue?
