my camera is a 4 megapixl with 16 mg of memory internal it willtake a sd card of 256 mg

i have the same camera it has no problem taking at least 16 pictures not sure what is wrong with your camera ian

you don't say what megapixel your camera is nor how much memory is in the camera or whether it takes memory cards, try reduceing the size of the pictures in the menu other than that more info please
