Mend Scantronic 9448 Security Alarm Battery

Scantronic 9448 stopped working?

Had it 2 years, this morning it woke me up as it was going off (thought it was the cat). Now it has a flashing top light and when I try to set it the top 3 red lights flash and it fails to set. It is also really quiet and the external bell seems to have stopped as as the 3 pir's. Is this simply a new battery fix ( also 2 years old obviously)??

The flashing power light means you need to find out why there is no mains power to the panel - has a trip activated on your fusebox ?
The three lights could relate to PIRs tht are not working due to a blown internal fuse inside the panel. If you are not familiar with electrical fuse replacement call an engineer.

OK after I found a manual it seems that the mains power light is the one that is flashing (should be steady on) and the exit/entry, zone 1 & 2 are the 3 red lights that alternatively flash when I try and set the alarm, hope it helps.
