what's wrong with my treadmill?

Okay... so I haven't been on my treadmill in a couple months, but before I stopped using it it was making an unusual clicking noise and it was also producing a burning rubber type smell. I tried to find where the smell was coming from but I'm still not completely sure. Now it won't turn on at all with the magnetic key and the only thing I can get it to do is run for a few seconds after I press the red button that is located near the cord... and that is with the magnetic key out. The brand of treadmill is a proform cross walk (the numbers under the word crosswalk are peeling off and the only numbers I can make out are 2&5... I think it's blank_25 but it could be 25_) I hope someone can let me know what to do, or if anything can be done. It's just sitting here collecting dust and I can feel my ass growing. Help please!

I havent used my treadmill in over two years and little prior to that. (not many miles on it) Now it runs fine with no one on it but when weight is put on it it stops after about 5 rotations. What should I check?

I have had trouble with a burning smell from my Treadmill as well. So tired of treadmill problems. Easier to just go to jym, and if the thing burns its their problem not yours!!, but I know I also like working out in my own home as well..

the burning smell is the drive belt for the motor and it could be the speed sensor or the lower control board for the turning off problem
