Mend Power Pro 42inch Briggs & Stratton Lawn Tractor Wont Start

Power Pro lawn tractor won't start?

I was mowing and shutoff the mower to get off and move some stuff. When I got back on and tried to start the mower it now just whines when I turn the key. Does this sound like the starter went out all of a sudden or might it be something else? This is a PowerPro 42inch cut with the Briggs and stratton engine.

I suggest a weak battery. Since you were using it, the alternator output is probably low, otherwise the battery would be kept charged.
