Why do you think you need to change the front stat?? they rarely fail. What's happening?
Is the empty water light permanently on??
If so, you possibly have a sticky float switch (a microswitch situated on a beige box behind the motor) Give this switch a wiggle and it'll be fine. Empty water on every use to avoid reprecussion.
