How do I replace the Kirby hose end for G3 model?

hi there, i used to be a kirby engineer, i would change it by putting a phillips screwdriver down the hose end with the hook agaisnt the edge this is where the hose end is located, then you need to use the screwdriver as a lever and try to make the hose end go from O shape to C shape while lightly pulling, this can be made eaiser by running it under hot water, to refit - C shape (using your finger and hand to make C shape) to O shape
