kenwood microwave problem?

oh my days i have a kenwood 30 litre combi micro , i havent used the combi just heating up and defrosting programmes we wete bought it as a gift and it is now broke , has anyone actually got in touch with kenwood direct if so what was the outcome

How can I fix my kenwood microwave that stopped working, although the light still on but do not rotate. For sometime, I noticed some cracking sound but ignored until it stooped.

Just adding my experience here as it is very similar to other stories.

We have owned a Kenwood K25MMS12, purchased from Curries for £70 on 4th November 2012. It's 27th October 2014 today, so it seems quite a pattern that these machines pack up after 23 months.

Ours went out in style though... It exploded.

The wife admitted to me afterwards that she did hear crackling coming from the machine on a couple of occasions previously. However, it decided to wait for me to make its final bow...

No metal or anything inside, we had just started it on a cook and it seemed like it was hemorrhaging with unearthly noises coming from inside. I looked inside the window and flames were shooting out from a panel on the right side.

There was then a huge bang, switched off from the mains and stood well back.

Needless to say, our next purchase definitely won't be Kenwood.

We have a Kenwood Microwave Model No, KEN GJ/SS25. when I pressed start it tripped the circuit breaker for the downstairs and after that it stopped working completely. Not sure what's gone wrong, it was very expensive when we bought and I wonder if someone could help us to find out what the problem is.
Maybe it's just a fuse somewhere (I checked the socket and it was fine) but could be something blown off inside?!

my kenwood microwave model number kco3ss10 turn table stopped working after 19 months as you guys say they are not cheap, wish i had bought a cheap one as they seem to last longer but do not look as good, kenwood has gone down in my estimation will not be buying that brand again

Hi, our cjss32 appeared to work fine apart from it didnt heat anything up. Opened it up to find the fuse on the transformer to have blown (the one in the plastic cover) Ordered 2 new 5kv 0.9A fuses off ebay now. Will let you know if it works!

Hi I have a sjss25 model and today it's digital display stopped working everything else works fine. I can use my watch or phone to time cooking etc for now but am stuck on full power because that is also displayed on that screen. Any one had this issue? Anyone fixed it? I'm going to be taking it apart today to look but not sure what I will find.

Purchased the 800mA 0.8A 5kV fuse from e-bay for £2.89 all inc, works perfectly.

Have the same problem with my Kenwood SJSS25, bought just over two years ago. Managed to remove the cover and just identified the problem. The fuse on the Transformer has blown up. it is 5KV0.8A fuse. Let you know if it is working once replaced.

I purchased a Kenwood CJSS32 in may and after 3 months it will not heat. Because I cut the plug off and fit a new one so the cable could fit through a hole it will not be covered under the guarantee

My Kenwood ST/SS25 packed in after 2 years of careful and light use (maybe used it twice a week, mostly for reheating tea and simple 3-min warm-ups of leftover food). Does everything except heat up - turntable turns, programming works, makes same noise as it ever did, but the food comes out still cold. No clues as to why, it just woke up one morning and decided it wasn't going to work.

My KEN GJ/SS25 has exactly the same problem as Phil. Yes there is there a mini internal fuse which has blown, can't see the value tho as it is corroded. If you can get past the star studs used to fasten the cover I'd be interested in knowing the fuse rating.

Our Kenwood microwave just broke down after 23 months. (KEN GJ/SS25) No lights or display or power. It failed just after plugging it in. I have checked the fuse in the plug, this is OK. Is there an internal fuse which needs checking or is this a circuit board failure? I still have the receipt but was the guarantee 1 year or 2 years?

My Kenwood has done exactly the same thing - again, just out of warranty! These are not cheap machines and there is obviously a pattern emerging. My previous microwave was a Panasonic and I had it for over 15 years with absolutely no problems - my replacement will definitely be Panasonic.

mine has gone wrong again for the second time.first time it stopped heating food up but lucky for me it was just a few weeks still in guarantee.i took it back and got a new replacement.this time the same problem but no such luck. a few weeks out of guarantee.this seems to be a one year fault.

I have a kenwood ken st/al25 and it doing that to.
I cooked some soup in it, went to eat the soup then when i went back into the kitchen i noticed a smell a bit like a childs cap gun and now ive noticed that when i shut the door the turn table keeps spinning even though i havnt told it to do any thing.
Then when i do programe it to cook and press start the light come on the food gets hot but the turn table dosnt move. Its almost like it's got its wires crossed.
