Why does my megane scenic smell of petrol inside??

Common renault problem.The fuel punp is located under the back seat. A recall was done by renault on the clio`s to sort the problem. Remove the pump and change the seal is the correct way to sort the problem but a quick fix is to seal the plastic cover that covers the pump.but that is temporary fix the seal on the pump needs changing.
