2001 1200 suv dies when gas is applied?

I would check the catalytic converter. Usually they get stopped up around 60,000 miles or higher. If you take the O2 sensor out of the side of the exhaust and it runs its the catalytic converter. The O2 sensor is located in the exhaust pipe just below the exhaust manifold. If you look at the front manifold & follow it down you should see it. When you unscrew it and if it starts its gonna be load just to warn you.Just dont run it to long.
