have done complete rebuild on trooper turbo diesel engine. 4x4 would this be the same engine? if so i can help. it is O.H.V. design with belt drive to cam and injector pump. You are supposed to use a lock off kit to preserve the timing, but I was successful in merely marking the pulleys and belt with tippex or marker pen and a straight edge. I guessed the valve clearance at 12thou inlet and fourteen thou exhaust..found later this was excessive but as engine runs fine and is not noisy it was left at that. Not a difficult job but quite involved. watch out for small head bolts which are part of the torquing sequence. get a manual if you can. to undo crank pulley nut use socket and big breaker bar against the ground, then flick the key. be careful and make sure its in the correct direction. VERY IMPORTANT or serious damage will result.
