I can't fold the back seat down on my Nissan Micra?

Im going to try to do this today. My front two seats lost their reclining and sliding functionality but I fixed those by opening up the rear of the seat and fixing the clutch wires to both sides of the available slot and then attaching the plastic cover to the lever. its not too diffcult you just need to push the plastic hook till it clicks and then use the lever with caution in order to not knock it out again.

i have a broken seat leaver on a 03 plate and theseat leaver is broken it has no rstriction just completley loose is there a way of fixing

i have the same problem, and yes it is just a stiff mechanism. you seem to have to pull both the tabs at the same time, which is difficult if you are, like me, tiny and a weakling! if you get a strong person to do it a few times for you it should loosen up a bit :)
