hi my washer the little lock thing broke but ive been using by putting the gray butten back in and its been woking till yesturday now all i hear it clucking sounds and it doing the du thing and i cant get it to stop doing the du and the clicking what can i do ive been using it like this for a year

Okay my washing Machine door is locked, I push the button for three second and nothing . I even unplugged it and tried the button again and nothing.

YES!!! That IS the correct button ... if I had only read the stupid washing machine I'd have known better. Thanks for saving me a call to the landlord ... he'd have blown his lid if we called about more issues so soon after the last

Incredible, I never noticed that button on the panel. The operator told me to hold and release the cancel button and to unplug the machine for several minutes and nothing worked. I then googled the question, found this site, and this answer, and in 3 seconds my problem was solved. I now just have to cancel the service appt. Thanks everyone.

There's a button on the panel, bottom left, which has small print under it with instructions to press and hold three seconds to unlock the controls. We inadvertantly did this with ours, and missed the find print until I found the answer elsewhere...
