how can i fix my hair straighener?

Ok well i have this ausome 2 inch straightener and i love it and about a day ago when i wanted to do my hair i felt it and it wasnt hot at all and it was on and at 235 degress and then i tried it again the next day but it still wouldnt work. :[
what happened and can i ever use it again?

Almost certainly the lead has broken - common fault on them. It is apparently impossible to get a replacement lead!
