McCulloch 210 petrol strimmer will not prime fuel?
Starts with a squirt of bradex easy start, so I know I have compression and a spark. I havn't used the strimmer for over a year and the primer button does not fill with fuel when pressed. I assume I either have a cracked primer plastic bulb or a leak in one of the two small fuel pipes, but I just want to check if anyone has advise as I have been told the carb can seize up with no use.
same problem only ran for a few seconds when dropped some fuel in plug hole .removed carb soaked it overnight cleaned it blew it through replaced it same problem fuel not getting through,took small gauze filter out and it started and ran perfectly, filter looked clean but obviously wasn't letting fuel past .good luck. from peter

Check the pipes from the primer to the fuel tank are not deteriated in the fuel tank. If they are you will need to replace the fuel lines.

i have same problem,the fuel lines had perished,sucking air in.replace.

i tried in vain to fix my 210 (been a mech engineer for 27 years) in the end to my dismay i had to give up. You get what you pay for iam afraid and these 99 quid strimmers/lawnmowers/chainsaws are all the same...chinese crap. spend 300 quid on a huqvarna or honda, and it will last you a lifetime, they are repairable, serviceable and parts are available. sorry to pop your party
