Mend Kenwood Eject Cd Player Working

Kenwood KDC 6080R How can I eject CD?

My cd player will not eject. All other functions are working and it still plays the CD. It's my son's Busted CD and I really can't listen to it for the rest of my life!! Please Help!!

hi have same issue, seems the ribbon that connects the rotating face panel holder to the head unit has a hair line crack in it, i should now expect the rest of the functions to start failing soon.

any one know where i can get one of these ribbon cables?

actually dont take it from the deck b/c it will reset everything and ask for a security code, so jusT hold 5 and hit the reset button on the panel

If you release it from the dash and disconnect it's power for a few seconds, it should reset and eject the CD. If it doesn't, it's likely the mechanism is broken, might be best to just chuck it in the bin (make sure that CD is still in if so).
