how doi fix my vauxhall vectra 1.8 petrol when slowing a junctions?
we have replaced the cam sensor but it keeps doin it any ideas it does it going along the engine cuts out especiall at junctions or slowing at traffic lights we have done the timing and the cam sensor turned the revs up and it still doing it and now we have a loud knocking sound from the back end checked exhaust and it not that could it be a noisy shock??? please help
There is a small rubber pipe that goes to the side of the throttle body. Pull it off. Also remove the large pipe going to the top of the throttle body. Using a straightened paper clip clean out the metal pipe and hole in the throttle body. Often they are completely clogged. Some carb cleaner may help.
It is not uncommon to have to repeat this operation a couple of weeks later. This is because often you dislodge some debris the first time that does not get completely removed.

Take off the idle control valve and clean this with carbon cleaner and restall. This is a very common fault
